Making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible study, available to all.
About Community Bible StudyCome see what happens in people's lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class member receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you'll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship meals will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.
We are studying the book of Matthew for both semesters for the 2024-2025 school year.
The Birmingham Shelby In Person Class offers a children's ministry for children of women who are in our class. Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, worship, games, and other activities, we seek to provide a welcoming and engaging environment where the next generations can learn about Jesus. Our offerings are tailored to a child’s developmental stage, starting with babies, and going through high school. Beginning in our elementary classes, our curriculum can be aligned with an adult class so that parents and their children may study the same Book of the Bible, enabling parents additional opportunities to assist their children in living out God’s truths in their lives.
Space in our children's ministry is limited. If you plan to attend the Women's class and enroll your children in our children's ministry, please register as soon as possible. If you are expecting and plan to bring your baby to CBS, please also register your baby using your due date as the birthdate on the registration form. Children and babies of all ages must be in the children's ministry and may not attend adult core groups.
If you are registering children, please register as soon as possible as space is limited.
